immersion keeps blowing fuses

Immersion startd to go on the blink last night. Have put 3 fuses in ye oldies fuse box (due to be replaced with trip switches) and its blown all 3 of them. The grounding wires on the tank and pipes look ok. Is the coil itself fecked?

Yep - best place to start. There could be a fault in the switch/wiring - but very unlikely. Replace the element, or else cracking with a multimeter.....................
