    Hey,
Has anyone ever had problems with the splitters provided with netgear routers?
I've set up broadband with netgear routers recently in 2 different houses but as soon as I try to use the splitters, I can't get a connection. I can't even get dial tones through them. Same thing in both houses.
    Any help appreciated.

I think these splitters are for UK market.

The microfilters that come with the Netgear routers are for the UK. I bought mine in PC World.

I still used the one that came with mine. All you have to do is to shift the signal from the outer pins to the inner pins of the RJ11 cable. I bought an RJ11-->BT adapter for this for around 8 yoyo.

Maplin have 'normal' microfilters for around 11 yoyo that will work on an Irish phone line.

I used to use a UK Netgear filter with a BT to RJ11 converter on it for my BT Business connection, worked fine for me for ages :)
