    I paid for my car tax before Christmas.

    Disc arrived yesterday but my credit card still hasn't been charged.

    Does anyone know how long it takes them to charge my card as I thought it wouldn't be sent out until they got the cash.

    My credit card is usually debited before the disc arrives in the post. But financial transactions can take a while over Christmas, don't ask me why

    Don't worry, it will be charged :)

    That's a good coincidence,I did the same and I noticed the price of the tax had been approved but not posted(kind of reserved) to my credit card account.
    Was checking account this morning and the payment has been removed.
    In my case I'm not sure if the disc has arrived cos I'm away from home atm.
