G25 anyone?

My Logi formula force wheel has died after over 2 years of service.
Now i have a great excuse to get a Logitech G25 wheel.
The thing is while browsing in silly old pc world 2 days before xmas i saw a single G25 on the shelf.
I was shocked but couldnt justify almost 300 yoyos as my current wheel WAS perfect.
Would you believe on the same day within 2 hours my wheel died,bombing down the motorway i went back to pc world but the thing was gone,gutted!
Today i went to all pc world outlets in Kildare/Dublin and none to be had,gutted again!

Normally i can rely on komplett or savastore for my pc gear but they too are out of stock.
Im really struggling to find a decent online store to purchase one.
Anyone any suggestions or maybe have a G25 lying aorund somewhere ? lol

Afik they sold out everywhere, nice wheel that I wish I had one:(..these guy's will be able to tell ya everything you need to know.

duno about ireland, but over here Dell were stocking them. Might be worth a shot. Ill probably get one at some stage, looks like decent value

Dabs will have them soon enough it would appear, I was actually thinking of getting one of these myself to see how it would compare to my act labs setup.

[edit] It would want to be frickin good to stand up to the act labs!

i have a DFP and i've played with the G25 alot as a mate of mine has one. For me the DFP is just as good. I wont use the clutch and H Shifter because the paddels will always give you a quicker shift and therefore a quicker laptime. As thats the only thing going for the G25 over the DFP really i wouldn't be bothered paying 300 quid for it.

Hmm you could be right m8 but i prefer the more realistic racing feel of clutching and having the choice of sequential or H pattern shifting.
Paddle shifting is the fastest but i tend to only use then while playing F1 titles.
Also the G25 has dual motors for FF,having said that im not one for massive shaking of my desk,i like subtle feedback.
Again you could be right about is it worth splashing out.
The g25 is literally sold out everywhere and im getting very itchy fingers,most suppliers state a wait of 2 weeks where as the DFP is available now.

A bit off topic,ive been racing a lot of LFS recently,still an awesome sim.

The guy should be wearing a crash helmet, looks like a real car with the camera shake, will have to download lfs demo later

picked up the sold out software race driver 2 for 10 or 15 euro, great for the money, also the flat out 2 demo has been good fun

pixmania.ie have G25 in stock if anyones interested.
They are sold out everywhere else,apparently they have stock because their registration system was fecked up over holiday period.

Ive read and read many user accounts of this wheel and comparison to DFP,by all accounts the FF is meant to be amazing.

The G25 arrived today.
Cant get over how much better it is compared to other wheels.
Ive a had a DFP the last week from a console loving friend.

The G25 brake pedal is just amazing,the feeling and pedal resistance is just excellent.
Force feedback is top class ,im now feeling things in my sims i never felt before.
Totally love the sequential shifter,the H pattern i havent rried much yet.
So far its worth every penny.

Tried to ring Dixon's, they seem to only have robots working on Saturday's....
