    Hi,

    Is airsoft popular here in the republic? I know it's legality has only been cleared up (I think) recently.

    Is it mostly played by army reserve people or does it have a broader crowd?

    Thanks, I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

    There are quite a few of us here that aren't military that play. More and more people are getting involved, it's just a question of the finding out that Airsoft is legal now.

    Airsoft isn't very mainstream in the REPUBLIc. As far as I'm aware the army and the police don't use airsoft for training or at all really. I would think that they will take it up, though.

    It seems to be just action junkies like myself who are mad for the airsoft! I can see the sport taking off over here, to the same extent and more, than paintball.

    ya action junkies and gun nuts seeem to be the norm :p , but id say it appeals to a fairly wide group
