VW polo Fuel Filter

Hi,
Did a service on my 00 Polo the other day and cant find the fuel filter any where.
Any help appreciated.

Is could be underneath the car, you should follow the line from the distributor
back to wherever it dissapears.

Tried that and even got a friend whos a HGV mechanic to have a look and still no sign.

Check the above, it mentions left "inner guard" not sure what that is but it sounds like trim maybe behind the firewall at the back of the engine bay? Or maybe near the bumper?

Same as a Merc 190e (that why I suggested underneath!).

AFAIK, the fuel filter in a VW has long service life. I know some VW models have 'lifelong' filters and don't need replacing. Worth checking out before wasting time and money unnecessarily.
