I have a DTV STB with a SPDIF CoAx audio output, but my amp. has only analogue L & R stereo inputs. Anyone know where I can buy a cheap (<e30) SPDIF CoAx to analogue converter. I have looked at Maplin. They have an A to D, but not a D to A.

Does the STB not have Red/White RCA sockets?

At the very least it should have a scart socket - which you can grab the stereo output from.

I suspect the CoAx/Optical output is for digital audio rather than analogue. If this is the case you need an audio decoder like these.
