Anybody hear the recent radio program with Derek Mitchell (FG) calling for a resumption of the old Route for the 84 as an extra 10 minutes is added on with the "diversion" to Charlesland

He clearly doesn't worry about the 3,000 potential votes to be gained.

Besides it's the 184 and 84X, not the 84, that is affected.

saw that in the paper - he was actually saying extra buses should go through charlesland rather than the current in-and-back-out arrangement.

he's exaggerating about the added journey time though - I'd say its more like 3 minutes, certainly not 10.

I agree they should go through Charlesland. And that Dalgeny Lane should have a mini bus doing the route. What are they doing sending Double Deckers through there anyway, anyone been stuck while a tip truck and a Double decker try to pass near the Wicklow Arms?
What are they doing with the Wheel chair friendly bus stops? Are Wheel chair and buggy users supposed to be airlifted in to each stop? There is no footpath for a standard Wheel chair or even a wide single buggy so what was the point with doing all the bus stops? Get the big traffic out of there and put in a decent footpath folks!
