Buying at UK Auctions

Just wondering if anyone has any experience/tips about buying from UK auctions? I have bought at Irish auctions before and am thinking of heading to the UK next month to pick up a new car. Does the whole documentation/VRT process become more troublesome if buying from auction on the UK? Thanks, BF
