Acii Disco

So thats the lot then for another year and I hope it was as good for all of you as it was for us at Acii Disco HQ. Between our Xmas party piss up and our first ever New Year celebration in the music centre it truly was one to remember! Anyone that was there will know exactly what we are talking about and we would like to thank you all for creating some of the best party atmospheres we have ever had the pleasure of being part of! Big up yourselves!

So moving on now into the new year, 2007 year of Judge Dredd or was that 2006? Anyway moving onwards and upwards with our plans for the year while still trying to shake off the after xmas blues we have lots to tell you about and some great guests to mention too, so here goes…

For the first three weeks in January we will be looking to focus a little bit more on our very hard working and extreamly talented resident DJs. We will be giving each resident the chance to really express themselves and play a 2 hour set at the club, this will be the first time each of the residents will get the chance to really prove themselves to all the Acii Disco revellers and will give them a chance to play right across the board and hopefully lift the roof off the place! Supporting the lads we have some fresh faced up and coming newbies, we have had some really great CDs sent into us over the past year and we felt we would now like to inject some fresh hungry young DJs into the club and give them their chance to shine.

The last week in January we will welcome our first guest of the year from KOMPAKT Records we welcome French DJ / Producer HERVE A.K. We know it’s the same weekend as Koze but its AL KEEGANS birthday that weekend and we really wanted to do something special and what better way than to give our very own salute to the lads at KOMPAKT. February is probably one our finest lines up to date (and we have had some pretty good line ups over the past year) with a plethora of really great local and international guests for your listening pleasure. The first week in Feb sees a 2 hour from resident AL KEEGAN, it will ALs first main set of the new year so we are hoping it will be something really special. The following week we have the second of our international club swaps taking place as we welcome from Switzerland OLEG TROSHOK. Expect a tough mix of sinister Electro / Ghetto Tech and Techno.

The third week in Feb sees the ever popular ELECTRIC CITY take hold for the night, we will be welcoming residents BARRY DONAVAN and SIMON CONWAY to our humble abode for what will no doubt be another night of quality underground sounds! (www.myspace.com/electriccitydublin) For the final week in Feb we are buzzing with excitement to welcome the raging monster that is DUOTEQUE to the club! This will be their Irish debut and they will be playing for a full 3 hours on the night, a DJ set to start followed by the monster LIVE SET to finish and blow your head clean off! In March we will be celebrating Paddys day with the return of KRIECE plus we have lots of other great stuff too! We will have more in the way of cds and goodies to give away over the coming months plus our range of T- Shirts will be out very soon too!
