Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=439379&CPID=8&clid=33&lid=2&title=Sankofa+ban+increased

Charlton appealed Sankofas sending off against Arsenal - on worthy grounds in my opinion. The F.A. today rejected the appeal and added a further game to the ban dismissing Charltons claim as 'frivilous'.

I know this isn't major news, but I think it's grossly unfair. Firstly, Van persie was a couple of yards offside before being tugged back and secondly Sankofa was clearly not the last man. Who the hell makes these decisions and who do they think they are dismissing a legitimate case as frivilous:mad:

I've always thought the disciplinary procedures in Association Football worldwide are ridiculous. There are dozens of cases I could point to, this is just the latest.

    Rant over:o

There is no rule which says you have to be the last man. The rule is about preventing a genuine goalscoring chance. The offside part is touch and go. If the flag didn't go up, he wasn't offside; ergo you can't change the decision. If this decision were overturned based on the fact that he looked offside in a video replay, it wold create an awkward precedent.

    Can't argue with that.

I was suprised when i saw this earlier, considering all the other appeals very team has made, i wonder why they pick this one to be add on an extra suspension for being frivilous.

Yes I'm bitter, but a ten-game ban for David Prutton... Please.

Charlton are to take the F.A. to the High Court to challenge their disciplinary appeals procedure on the back of the Sankofa ban!

Proper order I say and fair play to Charlton for being the first club to stand up against this nonsense. They have the full backing of the Premier League.
