Wow, this is some really exciting news. Maybe soon there'll be no need for all this transcoding and converting files to WMV business just to watch them via our 360's. More into here!

Quote from one of the articles:

"Microsoft is also dropping something of a bomb at the show. Jim Brady, a spokesman for Microsoft, said Gates and Bach will say in the keynote speech Sunday night at the Venetian Hotel that the Xbox 360 will be able to serve as a set-top box for IPTV, or Internet protocol television. The details on this announcement are sketchy and Brady says only that it will appear later this year.
He did say that no consumers would be left behind, meaning that all of the 10 million plus Xbox 360s in the market would be able to participate in the IPTV services at some level."

If this is true, and so many sites are commenting on it now that it most likely is, we'll most definitely be seeing that 120GB hard drive soon, as well as the media server they are planning on announcing. They Xbox 360 is becoming the media centre I was hoping it would be from the start :D

Well considering no other country besides the U.S. can get TV or Movie downloads from the video marketplace I highly doubt we will have full/ decent functionality.

I read somewhere today that they have signed a deal with BT about it so looks like the UK will be getting something anyway.
