    I'm 30.

    I don't think the addition of younger and younger posters has done anything to harm boards.ie. In fact, from a purely anthropological point of view, I find it fascinating.

    The more you read, the more you realise certain age groups and certain social groups tout the same opinions and similar stances on subjects over and over. It becomes so it's possible to predict a user's response with a considerable level of success.

    Long may boards.ie continue to grow. This is one of a number of phases, there'll be more, there have been lots.

    ONLY if a person chooses to educate themselves as they age, and is entirely topic dependent. A 21 year old Business Student will be able to have a more intelligent and constructive discussion on Business (or one of the many topics included in their studies) than a 60 year old who has no business experience.

    If someone has lived here for 40 years, a political studies student may well be able to provide a more intelligent discussion than them. Just because they've lived longer, doesn't necessarily mean they can have more intelligent discussions.

    Also, a lot of older people will be more stubborn and ignorant, they'll have it in their head that their way is the right way, or their way of thinking is the right way, whereas younger people are generally more open to accepting new ideas/thoughts/theory on topics.

    Age != Level of Intelligence.

    What a stupid foolish little outlook on life.

    No Offence OP, but seriously how many threads can be done on age !!! we all know that the high majority of people on boards is from mid teens to late 20's and and even spread across the rest

    can we quit it with the age threads its getting beyond boring. Be it discussing the different opinions or not, its just boring ! can someone please post something different for once, instead of us all feeling were going through a day ja vous on a daily basis !
