Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I posted this thread when I thought it was a hardware problem but it seems it maybe software so I thought I might get a better response here.

The part that I cant figure is in my second last post

I tried doing the suggestion above.

It asked my what I wanted to log onto. By pressing 1 I got to enter admin password. I entered what I thought was the admin password and nothing happened (enter it wrong 3 times and you restart).

Any one any idea what this pass word should be?

Did you setup an admin password??? Its the password to the Administrator not your own account unless you log in as the local Administrator rather than a member of the Admin users group

    check for malware / viruses
if there is a hardware problem then windows will keel over with random errors or a specific one if its a reproducable fault.

if the registry is corrupt then and it's an inherritable fault then you can reinstall till the cows come home and keep inheriting the problem

I cant get logged on to check for spam or viruses etc as I cant but on.

The admin password was set up long before I arrived in the company. I just took out the old hard drive, replaced it and set the old drive to slave and it worked no bother so I'mjust gona transfer the data and get rid of it.
