Lurker of Chalice if you can find it. If you can play vinyl get the 2LP as it's easier to find compared to the CD and it's a nice sleeve.

Asmodeus for a more aggresive take on Black Metal, otherwise I'd got for Dissection, my 2 top black metal bands anyway.

Look at the other thread first, but on the prog side of things -

    ...And Oceans
    Bal-Sagoth
    Drudkh
    Forefather
    Ikuinen Kaamos
    Limbonic Art
    Naglfar
    Peste Noire
    Taake
    Windir
    Wyrd

Get Drudkh's Blood in our Wells.

Had a listen to Windir there lately, good stuff. Naglfar are cool too, pretty melodic. The likes of Drudkh and Peste Noire are a bit too "black" for me but they seem to be well respected among serious bm fans. I suppose, like death metal, it depends on what type of black metal you like. But judging by your "top 10" you'd probably enjoy any of those suggestions

I only have Bal-Sagoth's last album, but it's great craic.

And Anorexia Nervosa are great. Also French.

    Ha, I reign supreme! :)

Also, Graveworm I heard once briefly. They do a supremely entertaining cover of 'Losing My Religion'

I'm listening to Storm of the Light's Bane by Dissection at the moment, and can highly recommend it. Not sure what their other albums are like though.

Okay, been listening to Anorexia Nervosa - New Obscurantis Order all day now, and it is a savage piece of black metal, everyone should own it.

Their previous album The Somberlain is good too, it has been remastered recently I believe. But their 2006 album Reinkaos is awful.

Agalloch are quite good, nice melodic passages. Well as melodic as Black Metal is going to get.
