    The reason?:D

    Wireless signals aren't 100% reliable ( based around noise and capacity. Neither of which is very good also open to interference from microwaves, (my pjhone system is wireles as is baby monitor)etc etc ) and the bandwidth available is not sufficient for my needs (54Mbps on 802.11g wasn’t quick enough to stream HD feeds without some stuttering and 108Mbps with 802.11n had too many “drop-outs”), hence the reason for installing Cat5e and a gigabit switch.

    all of which was helped by the 129 plus vat price

    having used it now a few days now streaming video/audio im well pleased

    do i still think its overkill?? maybe not

    my video streaming is using a kiss dp508 which is good but i am wondering what other options are out there for this?
