Ah right. I knew there was scoring along those lines because a relation who owns a dog told me a coursing bad beat story in a pub recently in which the hunt went on much longer than usual and his dog was apparently hunting better and closer but the judges gave it to the other dog who was a prize dog. He was probably exagerating though.

    Thanks eoin ;) ,

It actually runs mon - weds but they all arrive on the sunday as norm games get heavy on the monday and tuesday but expect it big on sunday now as well , always plenty to do in clonmel ---- The club is open down there on the sat night im sure there will be punters around mate

One thing is for sure its a hell of a piss up and the hotel run the bar late so all is good in there --- worth goin to the coursing to see it one of the days just 2 experience the atmosphere and betting ring

The minnella hotel is expensive to stay - runs in at about 200 per night for a single and 245 for a double Hearnes and teh park hotel will be cheaper but i would book sooner as its always crazy up there over it

Serious shortage of accomodation guys, needs to be booked ASAP if ur planning on travelling down. Towns close to Clonmel for accomodation would be Kilsheelin (5 mins), Carrick-on- Suir (12mins) and Piltown (15mins). :)

Firstly about the coursing. First dog to turn the hare wins the course. No points system for subsequent turns. Great party atmosphere at the coursing but stay away from the betting if you dont know anything about it. Mayhem as Big Slick says with bets being shouted down from the stands to bookies standing in front of the stand!

Secondly and more importantly, the poker will possibly be 3 days of action that cash game players simply cant miss. Gambling junkies from all over Ireland and the UK, a lot with limited poker knowledge but loads of gamble. Be prepared for calling stations, crazy bluffs and occasional bad beat. Gambling and drinking all day at the coursing and later at the track meeting at night, come midnight there will be plenty of loose and easy money.

Seriously, an event not to be missed.

    Liam.

This is not our event - All straight draw games will be there i reckon ..dont know much more than this about it . As we have a huge holdem Ohmaha draw with the players we have the likes of Roy Brindley and alot of High Stakes boards players coming down so it should be busy most big players stay in the minella hotel ......last year we had a 50-100 NL Holdem table and this is again pre booked for this year ..... Also a full 5-10 ohmaha table booked

seriously though i think anyone who has ever played a big slick event should make the effort to get to the minella on sunday. its the lads launch with boyles and we should make the effort to fill the place even if your not playing the €250 there's gonna be stts and ring games there to suit all rolls

We Have decided to Charge by the hour at the hotel ohmaha cash tables and the rake will be as follows . Please give us your feedback on these rates

    Max 9 seated tables

1-2 ohmaha - €12 per hour per player - average €110 per hour when full

2-5 ohmaha - €14 per hour per player - average €130 per hour when full

5-10 ohmaha - €18 per hour per player - average €160 per hour when full

    10 - 20 ohmha - €20 per hour per player - average €180 per hour when full

Anything higher staked - will be agreed with management and players as chip donomintions differ

Holdem tables for now will be raked as normal but we will make a decision on this tm ..... Our rake will be minimal as we cannot be seen to be killing the cash tables with huge rakes here is the rake

Here is the Club Rake for a €1-2 and €2-5 table and €5-€10 - 10-20

    €1-€11 no rake
    €11-€22 = €1
    €22-€33 = €2
    €33 -€44 = €3
    €44 - €80 = €4
    €80 - 250 = €5

anything over €250 maximaum rake €10

Please feel free to voice ur opinions as we listen to all player on any issues , As i stated before the players come first and keeping our customers happy is our number one priority , If u feel that the rakes are ok please let us know as feedback is the only way we can make sure everything is ok For our plyers

I've merged the two threads about this event. No need for duplicate threads for the same subject.

Please don't bump threads needlessly without further info or replying to someone's question.

On any other part of this website most if not all of the threads in this forum would be locked/deleted and loads of bans handed out.
The poker forum is a bit special in that the posters here are interested in the stuff being advertised and the details of events like this are welcome.

But we don't need to push it.

    Hope the event goes well.

Ps - I heard there is a time restriction over there all out at 1.AM as all the draw players have booked into our club in clonmel and Hearnes hotel - When u actually have a buisness in clonmel u tend to know these things unlike ur own info which is funny to say the least to think Pokerstars just throw an event on with no advertising is putting ur post into perspective .....
