Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have you installed anything on it recently?
Can you boot into safe mode? (Just as the Windows XP loading screen appears - the black screen - hit F8 for your boot options).

It could be a virus either? Boot into safe mode and do a Virus Scan if you haven't installed anything new.
If you have installed something recently remove it.

So it's more a Windows problem than a specific laptop problem. :)

Sounds like a program is starting up and hanging. Go into safe mode (press F8 on boot up), log in as administrator and fire up msconfig (start->run->msconfig).

Remove all programs from the startup and see if it will boot normally. If it does, repat the above, adding back in programs until you find the one that is broken.

    Moving to Windows forum.
