Article in todays Indo;Gardai want incapaticing[sic] spray.
Lets call it what it is, avoiding PC speak;mace, pepper,CS spray[Although they are all different]
This comes about after the lad doing himself in on new years day in Cork after stabbing a bouncer, and that the Gardai are looking for new equipment to prevent situations like this occuring again.

Intresting times ahead; Will our Gardai start to look like the "unarmed"[excluding Mace,Taser,ASP Baton, anti stab/bullet proof vest, sap gloves] British bobby?? Or will this fall foul of the 1925 firearms act which prohibits weapons that discharge noxious, flammable, etc gasses?
Or,in conspircy theory mode,is this the start of the easing of selling non leathl weapons to the public for home defence after the Nally case???
    Wha you lot think??

Nothing to do with shooting as a sport, take it to a relevent board.

C.G. this isn't really within the scope of the shooting section, so I'm closing it. It might fit better in the politics section.
