    Hi,

    New to the boards.

Just wondering if anyone has one of these???
Do you use alot of outboard and if so would you use a patchbay?

I'm am looking at getting one. I will be using a Digi002r or maybe HD1.

    Cheers,

    Jonny.

Do you mean the Focusrite Control 24?
Any hardware you buy from digidesign comes with software so, you don't need to buy the 002 aswell.

Do you use alot of outboard and if so would you use a patchbay?

If you use a LOT of outboard, a patchbay is essential.

    Cheers

    Liam

    Hi Liam.

well its the one designed by digi, it just has focusrite pres in it.

You still need a digidesign interface like a digi002 or a hd systems.

Just wondering if anyone has this setup.

    cheers,

    Jonny

If you buy the Control24 you still need a Pro Tools interface like the 002, or 96 I/O or whatever. The Control24 is a decent controller with 16 great mic pres but that's it. It's a bit over priced I think. The mic pre's are handy but it costs €5k not inculding €1K for a suitable interface like the 002. If you have money to get pro tools HD and Control24 you should go for the DigiDesign ProControl instead.
