Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Irish keeper moves to Northants

Irish wicket-keeper Niall O'Brien has completed a move to Northants for the forthcoming season.
O'Brien, who was released by Kent last year, has signed a one-year deal to provide cover for Riki Wessels.

He will arrive after playing for Ireland in the World Cup but becomes English-qualified later this year.

Head coach David Capel said: "After much consideration and searching I am pleased that we have settled on selecting Niall."

Northants have also signed left-arm seamer David Lucas, who has had spells with Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire, to a three-month deal.

"David's left arm style of bowling will add the necessary variety to our squad of seam bowlers that we require," Capel added.

"Providing things develop as expected he could fit well into our game plans, especially in the longer form of the game."
