Tipperary for me anyway because most of my relations are from there.

    Cork has the best accent.

And the worst - you're up, Donegal!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,335 ✭✭✭rugbug86

galway for me - it has the living room, CP's, supermacs and NUIG

Any of the counties on the western seaboard because they actually have Irish culture. The rest is no different to British culture,. Dublin being the worst dick sucker.

That'd be pretty much the same reason as me. Same place and all. BUT, seeing it from a person who's location is Kilkenny...well, thats just weird.

Another favoured county would be Carlow, just for that classic Gaelic jersey.

Kerry is also another lovely place.

But my main vote goes to Tipp.

In fairness, theres no 'rebel' spirit there that isn't present in any other county in Ireland.

Unless you mean theres a greater fanbase of the IRA present in Cork...in which case...not something to be proud of...

It really depends on what you're looking for from the county though, doesn't it? I mean, the west coast counties are certainly my favourite for a quite week or so, beautiful scenery, quiet pubs etc. whereas Cork or Galway are my favourites to go for a more active time, given that they have busy pubs/clubs, loads of students floating about. Cork has some beautiful scenery too, but the west coast is far more superior in that aspect.

Oh and I'm aware Galway is on the west coast btw :D

Oh dear. That isn't an accent you have in Cork, it's an affliction. :D

    Donegal has everything.

End of debate. Lock this thread now.

Just kidding (though its actually true, can't think of the source at the moment though), Donegals a lovely county.

No need to mention the corrupt Gardaí either ;)

Ah come off it. You all know it's got to be Derry. ;)

Kerry, Clare and Wicklow if I didn't need to work. But since I do, Dublin. I've never enjoyed Cork as a city, but West Cork is great country. Galway is nice but too small. I would live in Belfast too, if a city outside of the Republic counts in a poll on the most liked county.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 648 ✭✭✭exiot

I love Cork, havent explored much of the county as Im situated in the city for college, but its a great place.

    I love Mayo as well.

I second Wexford don't forget Curracloe beach! I often stayed at Hook Lighthouse my uncle was keeper there. I also like Cork for the craic, people who say they don't like Cork are jealous (I'm not from Cork btw).

Port na Blagh used to be lovely but I haven't been there since the 1970's. Probably all built up now?
