Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Skype on Nokia/ Symbian

    Hi

    A mate was thinking of buying the nokia e61 but he wants to be able to use skype on what ever he ends up buying.

    can you get skpe to work on symbian OS, or would u have a recommendation for any other phone ?
    he is looking for an all in one phone/skpe/mp3/wifi/office_apps/ etc etc

    there is an iskoot client available for symbian S60 OS9.1 but it will only be available on x-series plan from 3. Windows mobile phones have skype clients.
    You can use a skype varient on E61 but its a little more complicated and needs wifi as opposed to 3G signal. (You would be robbed blind on data plan anyway).
    So E61 voip is possible and usable though its not skype.

    installed it the other day and rang a friend back in dublin from my n73 using my skype log in to his skype id. call went through fine, he said i was hard to hear but it did go through :)

    need to mess around with it more, but seems to have promise.
