Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's been asked about a few times so I thought I'd point out that the first season of Oz is coming out on region 2 DVD on 5 February.

Astoundingly, the UK censor has only given it a 15 rating!

great to see this finally get a region 2 release but the 15 rating makes me wonder if there is any cuts

there would have to be cuts for it to be 15

It'd be a shame if it was cut, the whole appeal of Oz was how horrible it was.

Excellent show though, I'll be sure to pick up a season 1-6 boxset if it materialises.

Well, what scenes in season 1 would need to be cut to get an 18?

The episode in a later season where Hill describes the various ways of creating a weapon in prison will be cut to SHREDS by the British censor whenever they get around to rating it.

I just checked the BBFC website and none of the eps have been cut. All passed 15 with no cuts made. Whether the distributor made any cuts prior to submission to the BBFC is another matter.

    Season 4, episode 12 - 'Cuts like a knife'

Hill demonstrates several different ways of creating 'shivs' during his narration so it's several scenes.

Just wondering if you got an official box set or was it one of those "not so" legit box sets doing the rounds on ebay??

If it was the latter what was the quality like??
