    Hi,

I have a 360, and have just bought a linkstation NAS device to store all my music and media etc. Can I use my 360 to read from this device ?

i dont have a media centre pc.

    Regards,

Has it a USB connection too? I know you can connect USB drives no problem nut not sure about network drives.

dont think so it needs to use media connect or media center pc to allow you to stream to the 360.

    Hi Mloc,

Yes it has a USB connection, so hopefully it might work. Anything specifically I need to do to connect it ?

If you plug it into one of the USB connections and then go to the media panel in the dashboard you should be able to select music/video and then it will hopefully allow you to select 'portable media device'.

    Mighty!!

Will try it when it arrives, only thing is I think maybe the USB port on the linkstation is more for connecting additional usb drives to it, rather than another pc/xbox, but will wait and see. Would be cool if it can.

Failing that, if the storage is available to your pc you can simply add the media to the library in WMP11 and stream that way.
