    Hi,
Apologies it this is a stupid question. I don't have the log book for my car (02 Golf 1.4 petrol) . The low oil level warning light came on, so i popped into a Shell garage to buy a litre. There are apparantly 3 types for a petrol car from what i could see....Mineral, Synthetic, Fully Synthetic.
What should I use, given the fact I dont know what is already in the car. Is it bad to mix oil types? Is there a real difference between the 3 types of oil?
    Thanks :)

think you should be more worried about why it is low!
02 1.4 shouldnt be burnin oil so im guessin you have a leak or faulty pump! i thisk the link covers all.
