:( Why would you want to do that? Did you ever think of how the animal would feel if it gets shipped all over the globe to someone who has never even seen it before?
Never mind that you can never be sure of what you get when you open the box.
Altogether I think this option of getting a pet is very irresponsible.

What exotic pet are you thinking of? Get some snakes over from England, exotic in Ireland. Or visit a pet shop for exotic fish. Don't break any laws on import live animals from overseas.

tonym, if you mention where you are based people can tell you the nearest and best exotic pet specialist to buy from.

Mention what type of exotic pet you're after as well.

Thats crap--Ive ordered Tarantulas from the UK and Europe and every one of them has been perfect. Most of them are shipped overnight, packed in the most responsible way that they could be with 24/48 hour heat packs.Boxes are well marked with whats in the boxes and Ive never once seen a damaged box never mind a distressed animal.

In the Tarantula trade most breeders are overseas and ship worldwide without any problems.

Tony--Easyexotics.co.uk (i think) ship to Ireland and have a huge range of animals for sale. They also ship livefoods at a verY cheap price but be careful Ive lost a fair few tubs of crix in this weather in the past.

In that case it might help (as a hint for the next time), if you formulated your question in such a way that the reader might form the opinion that you actually DO know what you want, what youre talking about and that you're not just another clueless headcase.
