Hi, am looking for at getting Microsoft Visio, I am a part time student in DIT so I should qualify for the student version.

Are there limitations to these versions? i.e. do they expire when I finish college (June 2007)?

I also seem to remember seeing the products in PC World but with a sticker saying that there were no CDs inside that you had to send something off to microsoft in order to get the CDs? Is this the case?

This one comes up a lot...sticky?

Anyway, you buy the box, send off the form inside the box to MS and wait to receive CD in post. Or at least that's how it works for MS Office Student licence anyway.

The product you get is the fully fledged version, no restrictions and no expiry.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you know (roughly) how long it takes for the discs to be sent out?

I think the standard spiel is to 'wait for 28 days' but I remember receiving mine within 21 days :)

Try getting it through DIT's MSDNAA (MS Academic Alliance)

    http://msdn63.e-academy.com/dit_fbus

Got my legit copy of Vista through these means (Albeit in UL, and I'm doing a computer related course)
