Stansted Express - weekend disruptions til end of Feb.

    For anyone travelling over before the end of February there will be a replacement bus service on Saturdays and Sundays.

    Full details below:
    There will be changes to Stansted Express train services due to Network Rail carrying out essential engineering work over weekends in January / February.

    Saturdays 20 & 27 and Sundays 21 & 28 January 2007

    Due to engineering work taking place between Broxbourne and Bishops Stortford, Stansted Express services will be replaced by a non stop coach service to/from London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport on these days. Coaches leave every 15 minutes and the approximate journey time is 90 minutes.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 February 2007

    Due to engineering work taking place between Broxbourne and Bishops Stortford, Stansted Express services will be replaced by a non stop coach service to/from London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport on these days. Coaches leave every 15 minutes and the approximate journey time is 90 minutes.

    Saturdays 10, 17 & 24 and Sundays 11, 18 & 25* February 2007

    Due to engineering work taking place between Bishops Stortford and Audley End, Stansted Express services will be replaced by a coach service to/from Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport on these days. Coaches leave every 15 minutes and the approximate journey time is 90 minutes.

    *Please note that on Sunday 25 February these works will start at 1300.

    Thanks Pat.

    Yet again, a load of complete and utter bollox. Only home league game I think this will affect us for is ManYoo on 4th Feb, I left the Toon game with 5 minutes to go and was on the first train out of WHL station to Liverpool Street, timed it nicely and was in Stansted for before 8pm.

    Think we've enough travelling that weekend to try a taxi back.

    Had to get a taxi from Tottenham Hale to Stansted once, taxis wanted £80, eventually got one for £60 but they are a rip-off. Not too bad if you're sharing but an expensive option if you're travelling alone.
