[Eve] Boards.ie Corp (BIE Corp!)

This is a separate post to let people know about boards.ie corporation. I'm doing up a seperate one as we have a corp forum set up.

Access to this forum is restricted to the following people.
- Boards.ie corp members.
- Friends of Boards.ie Corp.
- Notable figures in Eve society.

Boards.ie corp
BIE Corp is designed to help new players who are boards.ie members get to know the ropes to the game and then find a field they are used to and move onto a more experienced corp.

As a member you will be helped with newbie stuff (eg. frigates) and receive 1 boards.ie corp share (collectors item!) and also a share of profits at the end of every month.

Tax rate is 2%.

To join the corp:
First up you need to be in good standing with boards.ie to begin with. If you are then.

1. Go to Kakakela System in Caldari space.
2. Head to Kakakela VII - Moon 13 - Corporate Police Force station.
3. Once docked click Offices and look for boards.ie corp. Our logo is a gold shamrock with EU type orange stars on a light blue background.
4. Click join corp. Your request will be processed. If there is a delay check out the Irish channel for a boardsie.

Only one rule: Do not do anything that would be seen as negative on the corp. While such play is legal, not while in the corp. Doing so will get you booted.

Friends of Boards.ie Corp.
Friends of boards.ie corp are one of the following.
- Previous BIE corp member in good standing.
- Potencial recruiter. Required to talk to "Mira deVorsha" in game on getting this.
- Those who have helped BIE (eg. Large donations).

Friends of Boards.ie corp also get a BIE share (if they don't have one already) but no dividends.

Notable figures in Eve society.
These are Irish players who may of had a huge impact on the culture of Eve or shown act as a role model to newer players. By role model that is someone who is an upstanding character in the community, or a bat sh!t crazy mofo pirate.

This you can't apply for. You just have to have it.

I wonder would it be a good idea to set up a killboard for the corp... Might be good for bragging rights prosperity etc, I could figure out how it works and host it if need be.

Theres a nice In Game Mod on the eve-dev.net site, only allows the corporation you've set it to access to the killboard from in game.

Oh cool, Ra Nger was killed in Kakela, that's like him trying to poo in BIE's back garden!

He was killed there because he was camping our HQ waiting for us. He didn't find what he was expecting though.

Yep. Especially since we were just flying a few corp frigates around and he was in a 'geddon. We were lucky DrVomact logged on when he did. I didnt even have a raven at that point.

Just an update..

1. There are three people outstanding to finish the joining process (Sparkys for example). If you requested to join BIE corp and don't get an answer after a few days let us know on here and we will step you through the rest.

2. If your a BIE corp member (now or previously) or flagged as a Friend of BIE and you do not have access yet to the BIE corp forum let me know and I will sort it out.

3. There are some important things going on in BIE corp forum that appear not to be getting feedback. For example we have a Rig Lottery set up (where at the moment for example you have a chance of winning a Rig for 2% of its overall cost), and also more important how to work out the dividends so that newer members get goods/money over those who are alts/don't need it.
