    Dates and venue confirmed for 10th International Conference on Bisexuality

    Something wonderful has happened: the dates and venue are confirmed
    for the 10th International Conference on Bisexuality (10ICB). 10ICB
    will take place on the dates Thursday, July 24 - Sunday, July 27,
    2008, and is to be held on the University of Rhode Island's Kingston
    campus in beautiful mid(east)coastal Rhode Island, USA. 10ICB is
    hosted by The University of Rhode Island's 14th Annual Symposium on
    GLBTIQA Issues. GLBTIQA means: gay lesbian bisexual transgender
    transsexual intersex queer questioning and allies.

    At the 9th International Conference on Bisexuality in Toronto,
    Canada, 2006, the 11th ICB was announced to be in the United Kingdom
    in 2010. Unfortunately, nobody made a bid for the 10th ICB in 2008. A
    group of bisexual activists who were worried about the future of
    international conferences on bisexuality, set up the Yahoo! groups
    mailinglist '10icb-planners'. One of the amazing results of this
    virtual community was the confirmation of the dates and venue of the
    10th ICB.

    Until now the International Conferences on Bisexuality were held in:
    Amsterdam the Netherlands 1991, London UK 1992, New York USA 1994,
    Berlin Germany 1996, Boston USA 1998, Manchester UK 2000, Sydney
    Australia 2002, Minneapolis USA 2004 and Toronto Canada 2006.
