Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    TIME HOME AWAY VENUE
14:00 UK Catania Calcio v Cagliari Stadio Angelo Massimino
14:00 UK Empoli v Sampdoria Stadio Carlo Castellani
14:00 UK Inter Milan v Fiorentina Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

14:00 UK Udinese v Messina Stadio Friuli
19:30 UK Lazio v AC Milan Stadio Olimpico

Hard one for Inter this week. The one saving grace is they have a few players out like their top goal scorer!

I think Inter will just beat them but wouldnt be surprised if it was a draw.

Roma will have an easy match Lorvino seem to be all over the place.

Off all the games (except the Inter one) I would like to see the Milan Lazio one cause of whats been reported in the papers over Odo's move

    juventus 4 bari 2

trezeguet(1) del piero(1) on his 500th game for juve and nedved(2) on his return after a 5 match ban, pretty impressive as we had our defensive midfielders playin centre back! injury crisis at the moment.

What's that got to do with Serie A?

well they are going to be promoted so we might as well talk about next years future serie winners as we already know inter milan will win it this year. with the quality of players juventus have got already in the january transfer window and the ones they are very close to getting they are obviously going to try and win it next year.

It will take a few years for them to be able to make a challenge for the league

    Inter 3-1 Fiorentina .

    That is all!

Got roped in to watching the United game. I bet I missed a classic!

Great to hear Rossi scored on his debut for Parma moving them up to 18th.

    Just saw the results.

Roma drawing (just) and Totti getting sent off. Great result for Inter.

    Palermo drawing.

    Official a 2 horse race.

Special merit goes to a Mr G. Rossi. I tipped Param at the start of the season. How wrong could I be! But this might turn things around

Think it's a one horse race tbh, Roma would have liked Fiorentina to do them a favour obviously, but it didn't happen. Who is capable of doing Roma a favour by actually beating Inter? If Roma don't win at the San Siro in 2 weeks time it's over, and Inter can start concentrating on winning the CL.

Someone told me Gilardino was stretchered off today and might be out for two months.

Can't seem to find any news on it.

    The league's well over.

Hopefully Gilardino misses the Celtic match. He hasn't been setting the world alight in the Champions league but the more Milan players missing the better.

Gilla has just hit some good form as well
I assume Ronaldo will be cup tied so it will be Inzagi and Olivera up front for the CL neither of whom have done great this season still expect milan to get through

After what was the major issue in Calciopoli (that is Juve making sure that
players are suspended against them), this is a list of players that so far
have been suspended for their game against Inter.

    Sampdoria: Falcone & Delvecchio
Chievo : Obinna (not match related)
    Catania : Stovini & Biso
    Udinese :Muntari
    Milan :Simic
    ascoli :Pesce
    Parma : Dessena
    Reggina :A.Lucarelli & Tedesco
    Palermo :Simplicio
    Siena :Vergassola
    Lazio :Mutarelli & Rocchi
    Torino :Barone & Comotto
    Fiorentina :Mutu & Ujfalusi

Yesterday Sampdoria (who play Inter next week) had one player who was just a yellow card away from suspension ... Accardi. Yes... you guessed
correctly : he was yellow carded , so that`s another one in the list !!

So, after a round and two games (including next week`s), the total of
players suspended for their game against Inter is : NINETEEN ..(not
including Obinna) ... avg of 1 player per game.

    Hmmmm :(

Are these figures available for teams other than Inter?

Well to be honest, I'm sure if you looked at any team every second week they would have a player out through suspension.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,013 ✭✭✭✭eirebhoy

That would mean every ref in Italy are involved in helping Inter win the title, or at least know about it. Just a little hard to believe. ;)

All I can say to that is what load of bollox.

People pick up suspensions. Thats the nature of the game. If a player has all ready picked up 4 yellow cards (or how many is required before you get suspended) I reckon the odds of them picking up another one are fairly high
