Desktop themes

Didnt know where to post this problem but any time I install a desktop theme it doesnt work right the background changes and the theme reverts to the classic theme or doesnt change at all. Also the selection window doesnt look right there are pics of this attached. Thanks for any help.

Are you trying to use an msstyle skin for Windows ?

You cant change the Windows skin/theme the only things that can be altered are (some) icons, sounds and the wallpaper.

The skin can be changed but only through other means.
