Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all,

just a query, im trying to get my xbox and laptop to share media but unfortunatly i think that my router (the €29 one in harvey normans) is too far away and it fails when i try. it fails on the "PC Selected" test, ive gone through the tips and done all that are applicable to me (running vista), firewall is turned off just in case that was the problem.

to check that it wasnt a problem with either machine i brought the router into the room, connected them directly with two ethernet cables and wirelessly and both ways worked. however i cant leave the router there because the internet connection wouldnt work because the phoneline is too long and too weak and no broadband.

is my only option now a crossover cable or can i directly connect the laptop and the 360 together without the router as a go between so they can share media between the two, the laptop has the A protocol so i think it can handle the bandwidth, id prefer not to have any more wires if possible. i checked google for the answer but unable to find anything.

    thanks for your help

    joe
