keyboard symbols with vista

hello people just tryin out vista and i have a problem . I need to use symbols like \ straight from the keyboard but when i press that button it comes as #. Now i had the same issue under xp but then all i had to do was press shift+alt at the same time and then i would get it. here the same trick doesnt work so does anyone…

hello people

Check the regional settings and change ur keyboard settings from US English to Irish. That should sort it out
