eircom mail box set-up?

rang them to set this up on my phone, but it doesn't seem to allow me to set-up properly;

How to set up;

• Lift the receiver and dial 171.
• When asked, key in your temporary password 1234 followed by #.
• You can choose your own password by keying in any combination of numbers between 4 and 15 digits long but not starting with 0. Press #.
• You will be asked to record your name, please say your name and press #.
• This will be replayed to you. If you are happy with it, press #.
• To record a personal greeting press 2. Say your greeting, press #.
• Check your messages by dialling 171 and follow the prompts.

when i ring 171 it says enter the number of the person you are calling :rolleyes:

anyone know the problem here?
