Dromore West is a village on the N59 from Sligo to Ballina. Nearer Ballina about 15-20 minutes from there.

Well, broadband has finally been enabled in part of west Sligo thanks in part to the lobbying work by the West Sligo Broadband Committee. It's been availible in Rathlee, Kilglass, Enniscrone, Easkey south, Culleens West and Castleconnor according to the Easkey community news item of 31/10/06 in the Sligo Weekender.

    Apparantly:
"The committee are continuing their efforts to get Dromore West, Templeboy/ Aughris and Skreen Dromard areas online in the very near future."
So it might take anything between a few months and a couple of years but it seems to be on the way.

Dromore is shown on the map but it is not in the coverage list.

It would help a lot if that ISP allegedly supplying the service in west sligo had a bleddy website, who are quay.ie or kilallabay.net anyway ???

they appear to be northwest wireless networks

    http://www.whois-search.com/whois/killalabay.net

    and

    http://www.whois-search.com/whois/nwewn.com

    http://www.nwewn.com/coverage.html

but west sligo is not on the northwest wireless coverage map or are there 2 northwest wireless networks out there ??

it would help even more if dromore west was on the coverage list/map would it not :p

all very confusing :( . You should contact www.westnet.ie and www.fastcom.ie to find out what their plans are for dromore west , if any.
