Estate Agents Sligo/South Donegal

Hi all,

I might be re-locating back to the North West. I’m looking for some estate agents in the Sligo town, North Sligo or South Donegal area.

I’ve done a Google and come across this site:

But I thought more would have web sites :eek: Can anyone recommend any of the agents listed and tell me if any serve the areas I’m looking at.

I don’t know Sligo very well so if anybody could say which areas of the town would be better than others I’d appreciate it.

Other places I’ll look at are I suppose are Daft & MyHome.

www.obg.ie are in Sligo Town, I always found them o.k. and they would be one of the larger ones. The Sligo Champion is online, they would have ads by all the Estate agents. Good luck.

Can't vouch for any of them, I bought my place through an auctioneer in Boyle, Co Roscommon.

A word of warning, though, some are very slow at updating their sites so some places I had my eye on turned out to have been sold months ago! If you can't get a copy of the Sligo Champion, it might be a good idea to go on their mailing lists.

Myhome.ie allows you to flick thru estate agents too, though I suppose they'll only list agents that are part of myhome.

Goldenpages.ie might be worth a shot also.

Hi I've been through this recently, looking in the South Donegal area. I found www.daft.ie the most uptodate and comprehensive and rarely found anything useful on http://www.myhome.ie Having said that I always double checked against other websites. The ones I checked reguarly were:

Hi Water Man,

Not sure what you mean by this. Can't say that one estate in Sligo is better than another! No doubt the price of the property will give you a rough guide as to what to expect.
Ask the Auctioneers. Or PM me and i'll go into more detail!

Just heard yesterday that Sligo was one of the least in terms of growth over the past 12 months in terms of house prices in the past 12 months. So things seem to be slowing down in Sligo which is a good thing, Sligo prices were quite high.

I think Leitrim enjoyed the biggest growth which was also needed.

I have bought and am now selling with Sligo Estates and can vouch for them. Even from a selling point of view they charge a smaller amount if you have delt with them before and as far as I know no-one else does that.
