Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

External Hard Disk Problem

I have a 250 GB external USB hard drive with a lot of stuff on it.
Something happened to it recently (it's a long and boring story) and I am now getting the message "The disk in drive E is not formatted. Would you like to format it now?"
I think the file system has been changed and Windows can't recognise it but I know I can get everything off it if I use the right proggie for it.
Can anyone recommend one for me?

What is the make/model of the drive? Your file system could be corrupt so you might have to get a data recovery tool. Is it showing up under Disk Management? Start->Run->compmgmt.msc and then scroll down to Disk Management.

Did what you said and I've attached a screen capture in a Word document to look at. The disk that I can't read from is Disk 1 where it says "158.33 GB unallocated".
I don't know if this is good or bad. I'm going to try a program called "GetDataBack for NTFS" on it and see how it goes.
