Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To turn your Ipaq into a satnav you must buy a wired receiver (from ebay is the easiest option) and then find some software. Mine came with gps3000 but it is no good in Ireland.
Other software which works is TOMTOM Navigator 3 which i am running at the moment, you will have to upgrade the rom to run this so you have Windows ppc 2002 operating system.
There are no newer versions that will run on the old 3600 series Ipaqs that i can find as they all need windows 2003 for pocket pc which is not available from HP for this model.

Downside is that you will get no decent mapping of Ireland but an acceptable level in the UK or the rest of europe if you do not mind a few roads missing.

Goose, I will see if I still have the list of handleld device websites I used in college when I was working on my project. Can't remember the names off the top of my head.

    /old man talk

Back in my day we made our own maps.
GPS unit, iPaq. Log points, create maps, through in a few roads and away ya go.

Ah it was a pain in the ass but I got me through my 3yr project in '02/'03
