Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I am disabling the Dhcp sever on my Linksys router and giving the pc's attached to it IP address. But just wondering what do I but in the DNS section and does it make any difference what BB provider you are with

    very simply DNS servers allows you to type in web addresses for example www.boards.ie and be transfered to boards.ie IP address.

    if we didn't have DNS we'd have to type this to get to boards 82.195.136.250 in our address bar.

    your ISP supplies these DNS servers, but sometimes can stop working this is where www.opendns.org comes in handy

    DNS is the system used by the computer to find addresses on the internet (put simplistically). If you are using your router as your DNS server for the LAN, just put the routers IP in there.
