media player freezes

hi, when im playing a dvd , mp3, or mpg. after about 10 mins the sound goes and then the media player hangs. this happens for any media player i use, real, windows, creative etc. do you think its a buffer problem? or a memory prob? if i restart the machine it works fine, any ideas? btw i have a packard bell P4 512 mb ram.

Could be a number of reasons, but i would moethen likely say overheating.

Try this again with the side of the case off. If it then works you know the problem.
