Problem with funai DVD rec VCR combo

Hi all, I have a Funai DVD rec VCR combo machine. Lately I've noticed that when I play "shop bought" dvds there are 2 coloured lines near the top of my Tv. It dosen't happen when I play dvds I recorded myself. I've tried re-seting everything to default, even on my tv, but to no avail! Any thoughts would be appreaciated.
