Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Not sure if this is the right area for this.

    I recently bought a 1 gig olympus xd card for my fujifilm camera and
    i'm havin some trouble getting the photos off it and onto my laptop via the built in card reader. It use to work grand with all my other cards.

    I can get them off with a bit of hastle (it take ages) a message keeps popping up that the device is locked but i have tried everywhere to unlock it in the properties menu and even formating it.

    The other thing is that in trying to solve this problem i clicked on an option for my laptop not to recognise the card! So i cant use the card reader anymore!

    Anyone know how i can get it back in working order???

    Thanks

    you could check device manager
    control panel->system->hardware->device manager
    see if you can find the card reader listed, and maybe re-enable it

    there's no little write protection switch on the card itself, is there? though all that does is stop you erasing the photos

    Not sure why a particular card would take longer that your old cards. Speeds that a card reader reads different types of cards can vary, so maybe its a slow xd card reader

    Nope theres no lock on XD cards, they are a pretty slow type of media. Perhaps that is the problem. You tried other XD cards or different types of cards, OP?
