infected nose piercing??

    ok, so i got my nostril pierced bout 6 weeks ago at this stage, and up until now its been fairly trouble free (was a little sore at one stage which i found to be down to cleaning it too often). however, this morning i woke up and its not just that its gone a bit manky, its swollen and red and looks like theres (excuse the description) a bag of puss forming under the skin around it and it looks quite horrid. i've tried soaking it but nothing came out.

    so anyone any ideas on how i should treat it? i dont know if trying to soak it agin will irritate it? i won't be able to get into the studio where i got it done til sunday cause im in work but don't want to just leave it/make it worse? any suggestions??

    keep soaking it in salt water mix, or use a Q-tip and try clean it off. if you could post a pic itd make it alot easier. best thing to do i think is just keep up the cleaning and get to your pierces as soon as possible.

    Yeah. good question.

    I had one side of my nose pierced twice. One'd be just getting over an infection and the other one'd act up. Ugh.

    Anyway. Best thing is the 1/4 tsp of SEA salt and the pint of hot water. Soak a cotten pad in the water and then soak your nose. It will defo help. But you'll need to soak it for a good while for it to be of any use.

    All else fails take a little trip to your nearest DECENT piercer. :)

    hmmmm same thing happened mine.

    Had it done with a gun. It looked like a spot (white head) but it wouldn't....pop

    It did go away but it came back every so often, so I just took the whole thing out for good, and I'm left with a very slight scar from the spot thingy :(

    Say no to the gun (piercing...or otherwise :confused: )

    I got my nose pierced with a gun when i was 13 (obviously i didn't know any better) and at the time it got infected and my mam shoved some tcp on a piece of cotton wool on it. The next day a load of green stuff came out and i haven't had any trouble with it since then. (8 years.)
