Has anyone tried Onspeed internet acceleration.

    http://http://www.onspeed.com/

It claims to accelerate dial-up and gprs and even dsl.

I want to use it for gprs to reduce the amount of data use. Anyone
have success with these type programs?

Why do you use a link that seems to refer a beneficiary?

Do you get money from the link? Why not link to the onspeed website directly?

    http://www.onspeed.com/

    Ignorance or deliberate self promotion?

On the subject: most PC magazines I read say it works but it is only interesting if you are on dialup...

I got around to trying onspeed last month.

A friend using gprs for internet can't get broadband.

So we setup onspeed on his pc. The connection is noticably
faster, he is happy with it. (but I guess he would be happier with real broadband.

Its quite interesting concept but it won't speed up everything since JPEGs/Mp3s/Mpeg etc is already compressed a lot.

It is probably excellent downloading webpages of text but no use if you want to download things that are compressed already - that's my guessing anyways.
I think you can set the speed though, the quicker, the poorer your JPEG/GIF images will appear.

Still though, something different I suppose :)

I have the BB, but cam across this --
