Rte's "The Restaurant"

    Does anyone know where they get the guest diners, to eat the foodduring the show ? for the first year or two of it they were not that bad, but they give their opinion as if they are superior chefs from a top restaurant.... knocking everything with their snooty accents/views.... would love to see the same people try to cook something themselves..... microwave dinners me thinks :D

    They advertise sometimes in the RTE guide and also on the "Audience Participation" section of the RTE.IE website which is located at

    http://www.rte.ie/tv/audienceparticipation.html

    To be part of the Restaurant they require you to send in a recording and they will not accept people from certain areas which don't sound right for TV - we're talking about the real Dublin accent here.

    This thread would be better in TV forum though.

    good god, the people they have on the restaurant are a bunch of knobs.... the guests talk as if they are critics.. they piss me off so much...aaaagghhhhhh
    bet they only use the microwave !!!!!!
    how they can knock so much out of the cooks food is just unbelieveable...would love to know of many of them can ACTUALLY cook.. sorry for the rant, after a bottle of wine :D .....
