Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I dont mean a cut and paste job, but something someone put a lot of time and effort into, either on boards or the interweb?

Anyone recall any truly bibical epic postings?

Have a look in PI or Politics, some massive posts in there.

Btw, your sig is in violation. Quotes are not allowed. See here for info.

Beaten, was just about to post about Ropedrink, I remember some full-page epic posts from him.

I think the trick is to get him angry.

The limit per posting is 10,000 words.

We did have someone posting huge contineous tracts in the christiany forum but he was preaching and was told to get a life or at least a blog.
At one stage he had 5 10,000 posts in a row.

Talliesin doesn't tend to write long posts,
long winded certainly but not usually long they just seem that way :)

Hey! I'm offended! Talliesin always seems to post from the heart.

 That's like, an entire book.
I don't mind long posts (<50,000 words:) ) what sometimes annoys me is long replies with too many quotes. Though I'm sometimes guilty of it myself so, mumble mumble mumble... the old adage quality is better than quantity is probably important to remember.

Just saw this now. I didn't mean he posted spam and his replies are always very helpful and well thought out. But if he's passionate about the subject at hand, he can go into great depths with the post. It's not a bad thing, by any means.

My longest post was 16000 words I recall but that one is rare. I normall only browse through long ones unless I really care and also really bored.

Another vote for Ropedrink. When he goes on a rant, he takes no prisoners.

There's a deluded Liverpool fan in the soccer forum who always speels paragraphs and paragraphs of crap.

There's always amp's epic Newbie's Guide to Boards which stretches over the first few posts because it's so long...

There was that great guy who used to post epic length tales about staring at women on the bus.
    And Ropedrink.

To date I dunno, but ask Mark Suttonie about how best to perform some sex-related thing and prepare for an epic :p
