maby if you just buy 2 cheap psu(bestpower) and then get a hyper which should be cheap and good.or get a croshair or season or tangan.

That is not the cost of the processor it is an upgrade price. (ie) when you go to the site and into pc systems and into intel there is base components selected like the cheapest processor, mb etc.. these prices are the extra price to upgrade from said base component to what you select.

I did in fact warn people its an upgrade price for those who have not used them :D In fairness its even in your quote :D:D
Anyway i ordered yesterday. Slightly different but mostly the same. Better motherboards in this case.

I also got 2 copies of XP home. Was thinking of getting Vista but its just too unreliable for games right now and a complete resource hog.... even if both PC's can handle it (though the slower PC could do with another gig).
I believe its the first legit copy of windows i have ever bought :D Any others were either OEM that came with a machine or *cough* XP Corp :D

I mailed ankermann to ask them to upgrade the PSU on my system (expensive one) to the Be Quiet 420W they offer. Its an upgrade of €75 as opposed to €19.90 and it may be a lower wattage but its a much better quality PSU and is on the recommended list by other PC builders.

Im sitting here after installing windows on my new PC. Dead impressed.. its so quiet!!
Anyway only thing is that my wifes one is getting a message that the power supply is not enough for her card. Thats odd because her 7900GS should run on a 400watt PSU and hers is 420watt. Although i have not actually opened it yet to check. Just in case they did not put it in. Unless her PSU does not have a PCIx16 power connector or something... hmm odd. Going to get new PSU's anyway so not very important.

I decided to go ahead with original order and just get new PSU later on to save time.

edit: just opened her case and indeed it is a 420 watt but no GPU connector. Found the adapter in the motherboard box so its grand now. They forgot to put it on it seems :D

sharkyy, this thread is nearly four-and-a-half years old. Why on earth didn't you create a new thread to ask that question?

Locking thread to prevent more necromancy.
