The boy from Brazil is back! This Thursday sees an old friend DJ Kalif back behind the EC turntables. Kalif first played EC when he got the call to fill in for a sick Ha*&$r back in glory days of the Metropolitan. It was in those days that Kalif was one of Dublin best loved DJ's playing regularly at Damage, Genius and many other R.I.P nights. This set will be part of a small Irish tour which will see him take his Ronaldinho like DJ skills to clubs in Kerry, Limerick and Waaaaterford. Support comes from the newest member to our team of residents Dan_iel McElligott. A master of the MP3, Dan's DJ sets have a cutting edge that just can't be bought down your not so local record store. A purveyor of all things minimal, he is sure to bring it close to the boil before Kalif's takes it to the melting pot.

Special congratulations to January's EC Manager of the month and the first to do it twice this season, it's the Yid Army managed by Gary Morgan. A total of 256 points was enough to keep him 14 clear of nearest challenger, Cormac Bonner. Well played Gary, your prize is free entry to all EC & ES events throughout February. The race for the overall title is taking on shades of the Premiership with Cathal Flynn leading the way from Barry Donovan and third place a distance of 40 points further back. Still plenty to play for though and last year's champ Papa Bouba Armstrong has been on a good run of form to push himself back into the top 10 and ready for a last-ditch Henry-or-nothing stab at reclaiming his title.
